Welcome to DVT

Downvalleytrash, commonly referred to as DVT is the sarcastic name given to residents in the lower part of the Roaring Fork Valley here in Colorado. The valley begins at the continental divide where the Roaring Fork River begins. It then proceeds to the ritzy town of Aspen where we all work. After Aspen, the valley gets wider and less fancy. The towns of Basalt, El Jebel, Carbondale, and Glenwood Springs make up the vast majority of the Lower part of the valley which ends in Glenwood Springs at the confluence of the the Roaring Fork River and the Colorado River.

This site was developed for the following reasons:

• Inform locals of events throughout our valley
• Provide entertainment for people around the world about our valley
• Give people opportunites to share their experiences from Aspen and beyond
• Be available for media exposure for local sports (skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, etc.) and to share the media with friends, families, and clients
• A place for all of us to kick back, relax, and have a few laughs
